Hello everyone! I haven't posted in a while but thinking that Chris E is about to appear shortly in Heroes i'd thought i'd type out a short ninth doctor fic in celebration! :D

ROSE JOGS DOWN THE CORRIDOR TO HER ROOM, JACK GRINNING ENANLY. IF ROSE SAW HIM, SHE WOULD DEFINETLY KNOW HE HAD A PLAN UP HIS SLEEVE.

AFTER ABOUT AN HOUR, ROSE HAD TURNED HER ROOM UPSIDE DOWN LOOKING FOR A GIFT FROM HER MANY TRAVELS THAT SHE COULD GIVE TO THE DOCTOR, NO LUCK. SHE GAVE A SIGH AND JOGGED BACK DOWN TO THE CONSOLE ROOM TO ASK JACK'S OPINION WHEN SHE STOPPED IN SHOCK.

FEELING LOW, ROSE WALKS DOWN THE CORRIDORS AND WALKS INTO THE FILM ROOM AND SITS DOWN ON THE SOFA AND DECIDES TO WATCH A MOVIE TO CHEER HER UP WHEN SHE HEARS A KNOCK AND NOTICES THE DOCTOR STANDING IN THE DOORWAY.

"Yes"
"How many bedrooms do you think the Tardis has?"
"Jack, you're not trying to bring back a crowd of girls are you?! The Doctor will go ape!"
"No course not! Seriously how many?"
"The doctor once said that the inside of the tardis was infinite and in all his years he's never found the end of her."
"God!"
"Why d'ya ask?"
"Well, if there's an infinite number of bedrooms to choose from, how come your bedroom is directly opposite of the Doctor's bedroom?"
Rose paused and thought for a moment...
"I don't know actually.I guess the Tardis just thought it'll be easier in case an emergency or something."
"Yeah but who is the Tardis mentally connected to??"
"Jack, what are you getting at? If you wanna say something just spit it out ok?"
"Rose you are so sweet! Think about it, my bedroom is two floors down,four corridors and eight doors away from you two, i couldn't be further away."
Rose paused
"You mean, the Doctor told the Tardis to put my room opposite his?"
"Exactly."
"Why would he do that?"
Jack gave a loud frustrated sigh and got up off his chair
"Jack! Where are you going?"
"I am seriously thinking about locking you two up in a cupboard and forcing you to open up to your feelings!"
After Jack stormed out of the room Rose settled back into her chair and started to wonder if the Doctor felt the same way about her as she did about him. A red blush started to form on her cheeks.
"You ok?"
Rose jumped out of her seat as she turned and saw the Doctor leaning in the doorframe.

"And what does that one say?"
"That says 'repair the Neutron Flow' ".
"Okay i'm not going to attempt to ask what a neutron flow is."
"Good coz i can't be bothered to explain."
Rose elbowed him for that one.
"Ouch!"
"Baby!.......Seriously Doctor, i'd thought after nine hundred years, you'd be more organised; there's post-it notes everywhere!"
"Well, the Tardis doesn't seem to mind."
Suddenly a low moan came from the Tardis in reply.
Rose smiles
"I'm not fluent in Tardis-speak like you are but i think she agrees with me!"

Rose couldn't sleep so she decided she would walk the tardis corridors and find the doctor to talk to, she knew he hardly ever slept. As she approached the control room she heard him talking to someone. Curious, she waited in the corridor leading to the control room and just listened.
"Look, stop interfearing! It's my problem i'll deal with it!"
Rose thnen heard a low hum coming from the tardis.
"Yes it is, but it's unrequited okay?!"
Rose realised he was talking to the tardis! She thought it would be rude to eavesdrop so she moved to go back to her room, but something he said froze her
"She doesn't feel the same way!"
Was he talking to the tardis about her?? Rose decided that was okay to listen in now.
"For the last time NO!! I'm not going to tell her!"
The tardis hummed again in reply
"Oh well that's very subtle isn't it! Rose i'm madly in love with you and have been ever since we met. she'd leave me if she ever found out."
Rose was shocked, never in a million years would she believe that the doctor felt the same about her.
Humming came again from the tardis.
"Don't be stupid, she could never feel the same way about me."
The tardis gave a lower humm which made the doctor pause
"What do you mean you can ask her yourself?"
The Doctor paused once more
"Rose?"
Rose stepped out into the control room
"how long have you been standing there Rose?"
Rose paused "Five minutes"
The doctor braced himself against the control panel and lowered his head.
"You weren't meant to hear any of that."
Suddenly Rose's voice came a lot closer
"What if i wanted to hear that?"
His head snapped up, she was standing inches infront of him. The doctor couldn't speak.
"What if i wanted to tell you i felt the same?"
"Do you?"
Rose closed the gap and moved her mouth to his as they shared their first kiss. After they parted, their faces still close, Rose said
"I'm in love with you doctor"
The doctor's eyes opened and he grinned
"I'm in love with you Rose"
Their lips came together once more as they knew their adventure together was just begginning.

Rose layed sitting on the cold damp floor of an alien cell. Her arms are shackled above her head, tears falling freely down her cheeks. She was angry and frightened, the guards dragged her away just before she saw them take the doctor into a room to be tortured. She tried to fight them off, tried to get to her doctor, but they were too strong; and now she's laying in the corner of a cold prison cell thinking about what pain the doctor could be going through.
Suddenly, she hears a familiar voice
"Rose?"
Rose's head snaps up, she frantically looks around the room hoping to see him, but the room is empty. She thinks she's going mad, but then ...
"Rose?"
"Doctor!? Oh my God! Are you ok??!! Where are you!??"
His voice is weak and faint
"I'm okay, nothing my sonic screwdriver couldn't handle."
"I thought i'd lost you!"
"Oh Rose, you know you'd never lose me, your stuck with me."
Rose grins widely at this
"Doctor,Where are you?"
"I'm still in the torture room"
"What? But how are you talking to me now?"
"That's puzzling me abit aswell, i thought only time lords could to this telepathy trick."
"Wait a second! Your in my mind!??"
He pauses
"Yes."
Rose frantically tries to stop thinking about those fantasies she keeps having of him, she mentally tries to shut the door to that part of her mind, but in her mind she feels the doctor grining.
"Doctor, you didn't see anything just then did you?!"
The Doctor doesn't say anything for a while, Rose starts to feel herself blushing.
"Rose, where are you?"
"Ummm, the second prison cell from the left, i think."
"Okay, well i don't really feel like being tortured any more today, so i'm coming to get you."
Rose grins again "Sounds like a plan."
Rose feels the doctor slipping away from her mind, then she releases a breath she didn't realise she was holding. Questions started flooding her mind, did the doctor see those pictures she held of him in her mind? did he know how she felt about him? did he feel the same? Rose shook away the last question, the doctor couldn't possibly feel the same way about her. Rose spent the next five minutes thinking about when she first fell in love with the doctor, she couldn't really put her finger on it, but deep down she knew it was from that one word down at the basement of henriks..... "Run".
She was jolted out of her thoughts by shouts coming from outside the prison door.
"Who the hell are you!?"
"A pissed of time-lord!"
There was a series of loud bangs as the guards advanced on the doctor. Then silence. Rose was starting to get worried untill there was a loud crash, and the door burst open. There, the doctor stood frantically looking for Rose, his eyes caught sight of her and he dashed over to her on the floor.
"My god Rose! Are you alright?!"
"Yeah, i'm fine"
The worry in the doctor's eyes were obvious, concern was almost replacing the sharp blue in his eyes, but Rose tried not to stare. She heard a quiet whirring sound as the doctor unlocked her shackles, as soon as they came apart, they hugged each other fiercley. They just sat there on the cold damp floor for a long time, just holding each other. It was then that Rose noticed the blood seeping through the doctor's jumper.
"Doctor! what did they do to you?!"
They let go of each other as Rose tried to inspect his wounds but the doctor just snapped himself away from her.
"It's nothing. Right, lets get out of here shall we?"
The doctor grabbed rose's hand and they ran out of the cell. He picked up his leather jacket off the chair that sat outside.
"Wait a minute!, you took your leather jacket off BEFORE you beat up the guards!?"
"Yeah"
Rose gave him a smile
"Didn't want it to get scuffed"
They both laughed as they ran down the final corridor out of the castle noticing the tardis ontop the hill.
When they finally entered the tardis, the doctor jogged up the ramp and leaped to the controls and set them in flight.
Rose was trying to cath her breath
"Why do you park on the highest hill or the steepest mountain so when it's time to escape we have to flippin' well leg it till our legs fall off!?"
The doctor grins "Guess the tardis fines it amusing." He pauses and just looks at Rose for a few moments.
"What?"
The doctor walks towards Rose
"Are you sure you're ok? They didn't hurt you?"
"Doctor, i'm fine,seriously."
"Ok"
"Are you gonna let me check your wounds for you now?"
"No"
"Why not?!"
"They'll heal in time"
"They could be infected."
"How do you know? I'm the only doctor onboard!"
"For that sarky comment, i'm dragging you to the med lab!"
Rose grabbed the sleeve of his leather jacket and dragged him into the clean spacious white med lab.
"Right, stand under the light so i can see you properly."
The doctor stood under the light and softly stared at Rose.
Rose's heart was beating so fast she thought it was going to burst out of her chest, he was looking down at her with those gorgeus blue eyes it was growing ever more difficult to concentrate.
"Right, lets get this leather jacket off then."
The doctor didn't object, nor did he take his eyes off her. She stood behind him and slid off his leather jacket. He spoke softly
"Are we going to talk about it then?"
Rose froze.
"Talk about what?"
"About are little telepathy talk earlier."
"Oh yeah,umm that was wierd. How do you think we were able to do that?"
The Doctor spun round to face her.
"No.I meant are we going to talk about what i saw."
Rose felt her face going more an more red by the second, and the doctor just kept staring at her with a sincere smile on his face.
"ummm, what did you see?"
The Doctor moves closer to rose and whispers "Something i wasn't meant to."
Rose is pretty sure she's the colour of a tomato by now.
"Rose, i'm tired."
Rose's heart sank
"oh you better go and lie down then."
"no. I'm tired of us hiding things."
"Me too."
"I'm going to tell you something now Rose Tyler. Something that i promised myself i was never going to tell you."
Rose's heart was in her mouth
"Yes?"
The doctor stared into rose's eyes for a few moments, almost contemplating whether to tell her.
"I'm in love with you Rose."
Rose just stood there staring at him with the widest grin the doctor's ever seen in all his nine lives.
"Is that alright?"
Rose leaps up and hugs the doctor, he catches her and they stare at each other both grinning.
"Doctor, i've been in love with you ever since i met you"
"Really?"
"Yes!"
They both suddenly realised how close their faces were, the doctor slowly closed the gap as they shared their first kiss. The first of many.
